Lubos started his career in 1973 at Stadium Markéta. He had the ability
and reputation of his father.
But in 1974 at practice he had a crash. His injury was very serious, and
doctors wanted to amputate his leg. Fortunately they didn't and he was OK.
At the end of 1975 he started riding again. In 1976 he was Czech junior champion
and won Zlatá stuha in Pardubice too. His results were getting better.
In 1977 he was third place at first and second races in the Czech individual
championship. In this year was in top.
He came to ride in England and European Junior championship, but at the Czech
individual longtrack championship in Mariánské lázne
had big crash and was very badly injured. He fought for his life. For two
years in hospital he had to retire from speedway.
Now he does very good tuning speedway motors in stadium Markéta and
takes care of his son.
